Mentioned by Joyce in Ulysses (along with half of Dublin, it must be said), the store is now owned by British bookstore Dillons, having passed out of Irish hands a number of years ago. Extremely comprehensive, with an excellent technical and science section. Nice cafe too. What you can't find you can always order there.

Large, bright shop with a good variety of books in every imaginable section, including popular, literary and academic, and also very good Irish and children's sections. Tends to have good theme offers, where books bought in groups are cheaper. Also has many readings and signings throughout the year.
